Last days in Zurich

Posted in Uncategorized by Third Star on October 2, 2010

An incredible response to the film here in Zurich. The last screening of Third Star is on Sunday and is already sold-out. Great to meet so many talented film makers and enjoy such classic films from Milos Foreman and writer Barry Gifford – as well as amazing new work from Woody Allen and out of Australia.
Tonight is the Closing Night Ceremony and we welcome some great new people to Zurich to see the festival off in style.

Everyone who fell in love with the oh-so-ridiculously-charming Benedict Cumberbatch in his amazing incarnation of Sherlock Holmes will be thrilled to know that they have just commissioned a new series. He’s someone we just can’t get enough of.

Posted in Uncategorized by Third Star on October 20, 2009

I thought it might be a nice idea to give some colour to our dreary old call sheets by showing you who’s who! Here’s just some of the famous faces who have graced us with their talent and ingenuity over the past weeks…

OK, so who are these people? From the top, left to right… Raphael the Gaffer; the world’s most gorgeous floor runner, Vivi Kenny; and the most wonderful coordinator, Sukey; rocket man Johnny Campling in the art department; the adorable Aimee Sullivan on the floor;  hair & make-up’s Natalie; Where’s Wally or Steve Zissou, usually known as Matt our EPK King; Wonderful Warwick our grip; and the very dashing Theodopolous on B camera; Vicki Hannah on A camera; and our runner driver T’Other Tom taking a well earned break; continuity queen Jane and the incredible Karl on A camera; also on A camera Andrew and the ‘it’s beautiful, no?’ Spaniard Carlos, our DP! Jo on make-up and everyone’s dreamboat Mick from wardbrobe; another shot of the ubiquitous Vivi and then James who kept B camera and everything else running; another runner driver Georgie and another shot of the very lovely Jo (two shots of Jo because she wore so many hats!); Ang on B Camera and Warwick our grip taking a break in the sun, Carlos checking the light; Karl Hui taking a break, the very lovely Will in the AD team;  Hannah who manned central desk and everything else with aplomb, and everyone’s favourite, Moritz in the lighting team; the Great Dane Oystien on B camera, Ella in the warrior which became her modus operandi for the shoot; our locations king Tom Jenkins taking the gaffer and spark to one of our many extreme locations; Nick our boom operator and Hey, it’s Jude our stunt coordinator taking in his handiwork.  More to come! x
